Dr. Fay Hu’s office is dedicated to providing the highest quality of dental care to our patients. Through excellence in dentistry and quality relationships we can have a positive influence on our patients’ oral health, aesthetics and self esteem.
Fay Hu, D.M.D.
Dr. Hu was born and grew up in Liuzhou, China. She earned her first dental degree at Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Sciences in 1990. She then came to the United States to attend the University of Florida where she earned her masters degree in Oral Biology with a Focus on Sjogren’s syndrome. Upon completion of her Masters Degree she attended the University of Pennsylva- nia where she earned her second Dental Degree in 1997.
In April, 1998 Dr. Hu joined Dr. McCoy as an associate, and assumed his practice when he retired in 1999. Since then she has maintained her private practice in Winter Park, Fl., where she specializes in general dentistry and major reconstructive dentistry. Her peers have voted Dr. Hu as one of the Greater Orlando’s Top Dentists since 2007. Dr. Hu has served as a dental Examiner for the Florida Dental License Board, and she has also served as a supporting doctor for the National Sjogren’s Syndrome Foundation. Most recently, she was appointed as an admission interview committee member for her Alma Mater, The University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hu is a member of The American Dental Association, The Florida Dental Association, and the Greater Orlando Dental Association. She actively parti-cipates in the Mid Florida Implant Study Club and The CEREC Digital Technology Study Club. Dr. Hu is an alumnus of the Dawson Professional Center, The Pankey Institute and the Frank Spear’s Education Foundation.
Rosemary Melchior is the business manager and the senior member of our team.
She joined the practice in 1989 under the leadership of Dr. McCoy and remained with Dr. Fay when she took over the practice in 1999. She was hired for her management experience, which she learned early in her career in her native Ohio. She continued to broaden her experience while living in Houston, TX and then on to Florida.
Rosemary brings warmth and compassion to the atmosphere and helps make even the most apprehensive patient feel more comfortable. Her communication skills and attention to detail are true assets to our team and patients. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling, especially to visit extended family and friends.
Lisa Rodriguez, R.D.H.
Lisa Rodriguez, R.D.H. started her career in dentistry after completing Orlando Tech’s Dental Assisting Program in 1998.
After working at Lawton Orthodontics for 4 years she returned to Valencia Community College to become a hygienist. She has been a part of our team since November of 2004 and is excellent at instructing her patients and giving them a better understanding of the importance of caring for their mouth. Her easy going, friendly spirit and great sense of humor bring both joy and comfort to co-workers and patients. Outside of the office, Lisa and her husband and teenage step kids enjoy camping together and going to the beach. Lisa and her family are animal lovers and enjoy taking care of their horse, goat, and 4 cats.
Robin Adams is a certified Dental Assistant. She received her education at Valencia Community College and is Nationally Board Certified.
After working for Dr. Malcolm Hawley for many years, she joined Dr. Fay and her team. Robin is an expert in assisting with cosmetic and restorative dentistry. She is a very compassionate person and is wonderful at putting anxious patients at ease and shows each one that she cares about them.
Robin has two boys who have been successful in the classroom and in sports. She enjoys traveling, exercising, and spending time with her family and friends.
Julie is a Dental Assistant who received her education at Concorde Career College in 2011. After assisting a General Dentist and Prosthodontist for 4 years she joined Dr. Fay Hu at the beginning of 2016. She enjoys doing administrative duties as well as assisting Dr. Fay. She is extremely passionate about cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Julie spends her free time with her family. They spend most of their time enjoying outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. She travels often and spends a few times a year visiting family in Ohio.
